Tour overview

Kisiba is located in Rungwe district 19 km from the small town of Tukuyu, about 40 to 50 minutes’ drive. Kisiba has a comprehensive history of German rule by the existence of ancient buildings built in 1886, with the presence of the tombs of the German regime during the colonial era.
On the lowest part of this German-based regime there’s is a beautiful appearance of Lake Kisiba, the lake is well decorated with natural vegetation that rotate from each side of the lake and the presence of this vegetation provides the shelter for various species of birds and Monkeys.
The lake is about 600 meters wide and 70 meters deep, it’s a natural lake formed by  volcanic explosions many years ago.
The lake is safe for swimming, fishing, canoeing, cultural tourisms and camping.

We travel via Tanzania -Malawi highway going to Rungwe District where grasses are always greener. Visitors will be surprised with various vegetations including bananas, potatoes, and tea plantations creating some beautiful sceneries along the road.

Note

This is a day trip. Most visitors are always satisfied spending a day at the lake shore. However, accommodation on tented camps may be available if you wish to stay at the lake overnight.
